The Monash Concert Band rehearses Wednesday
evenings 8:00pm - 10:00pm. The rehearsal venue is Huntingtower
School, 77 Waimarie Drive, Mount Waverley. Apart from
exceptional circumstances, rehearsals are held in the
main Performing Arts Centre hall.
The variety of music rehearsed and performed
by the Monash Concert Band includes music from the big
band era, show tunes and musical productions, music
director arrangements of a range of standards, vocal
charts and typical concert band arrangements. For major
concert performances, the style can be more classical
or orchestral, including traditional marches, overtures
and even the odd "sing-along" or other audience participation
pieces depending on the theme of the performance. We
aim to please our audience every time.
