A Musical Gala celebrating monash Concert Band's 40th Anniversary.

We warmly invite you to join us as the Monash Concert Band celebrates its 40th Anniversary with a Gala Concert featuring Australian composers and music. The two-hour programme includes two pieces by renowned Australian composer Graham Lloyd, "From Dawn to Dusk" and "Swinging Matilda," and we are absolutely delighted to have Graham Lloyd join us for the performance!

The event includes celebratory cake and coffee. History and Band Memorabilia from the past 40 years will be displayed, showcasing some highlights and interesting items from our journey. Your presence will make this celebration even more special.

If you can't make the concert, you can still be part of the 40th anniversary celebrations by contributing to our Chimes and Tam Tam Appeal. To celebrate our 40th year we are aiming to purchase an additional five chimes so we have a complete 1.5 octave set. We also lack a tam tam, or orchestral gong. Having a gong will really help us celebrate with a resounding crash! We appreciate any contribution you can make to help us reach our target. You can make a tax-deductible donation here to our appeal through the Australian Cultural Fund until the 24 July 2025. The Australian Cultural Fund will transfer all raised funds to Monash Concert Band as a grant with no commission.

UPDATE Many thanks to everyone who helped celebrate our 40th year by contributing to our Chimes and Tam Tam Appeal. We raised sufficient funds to purchase the five additional tubular bells so that we will have a complete one and a half octave set. We look forward to debuting the full set of bells at our concerts in 2026.

Join the Monash Concert Band for all the fun of the fair! We're proud to present a toe-tapping cabaret featuring music inspired by fairgrounds, the circus, carnival rides and dance halls. Our cabaret is always a sold out event and a favourite for players and the audience alike. This is a BYO "nibbles and drinks" evening which will be held at Mount Waverley Youth Centre. Ahoy me hearties! The Monash Concert Band is thrilled to present our first concert of the year: “Harmony on the High Seas.” We have prepared a very enjoyable selection of pieces for both you the audience, and the players alike!

Jump on board for a journey on the high seas. The band will take you on a watery musical odyssey like no other. The ship sets sail across rough waters with Anchors Away. The Pirates Of the Caribbean is always a crowd favourite!

The sound of Hornpipes will get those toes tapping then you can feel the calm of the ocean with Water’s Reflection. So step aboard and let us take you far and wide across the seas for a wonderful musical adventure.

We are delighted to be joining our friends at the Croydon Wind Symphony for a feast of entertainment and medieval fantasy music fit for all Lords, Ladies and Younglings. Both bands will be performing under the musical directorship of David Billimoria who has designed a program fitting of the occasion.

Our annual extravaganza is back. Gather your family and friends for a fun night of toe-tapping tunes, trivia and tall tales. BYO nibbles and drinks. Don't forget those gold coins for the raffle tickets and silent auctions. We will also be able to take credit card payments on the night.
